Being raised in the musically rich Rusyn culture, it is no surprise Spencer prides himself on his versatility and expertise in all areas of music. Notable academic endeavors include a dedication to codifying and teaching improvisation to students, especially developing improvisers where strong pedagogy is crucial. Recent performances in notable venues include First Ave MN (where price recorded purple rain), the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Mr. Smalls Theater, and a critically acclaimed performance at the International Blues Competition. Spencer is also an accomplished audio engineer, with multiple albums and singles released from clients spanning numerous generes where he is credited as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer.
